I know it has been a while since I posted last….
My depression got to me again…..I stopped sewing for a while….
My oldest daughter’s father tried to OD not once, but twice…He is getting better slowly…
I decided to make bowl cozies….
It kept popping in my head….
They are pretty easy to make…..
I did not make them with cotton thread….they can not go in the mircowave….and am I making more….
I just made a bunch of those too. 😊 I hope you’re feeling better. Depression and anxiety are old friends of mine. I also hope your daughter’s dad continues to improve.
Thank you so much….I am getting there….He is getting help finally
I also made more cozies…They are pretty easy to make..
What are bowl cozies? Why can’t the ones with cotton thread go in the microwave? I am fascinated by these … I have never heard of them!
Bowl cozies are for bowls that a person uses for things that are hot or cold..so the hands don’t get burnt or cold while using them…it has to be 100% cotton to go in the microwave… Not using cotton can melt in the microwave
Oh what s great idea! I am going to make some – I just got in a Daniel today trying to lift s bowl of soup out of the microwave using s teatowel but it got in the soup! Do you use wadding? Or just a couple of layers of fabric?

You use cotton batting
Like wrap and zap or warm and natural
Ok – I never heard of this before, I live in UK. I looked it up on internet and have found out what it is! Maybe I will get some- so do I just make squares and stitch up sides so the bowl is nestled in the centre?
I went to ehow and it showed how to make them
I’ve never heard of these, but it’s a great idea — and so cute!
I used to make all my own clothes — from evening to undies… It got harder and harder to find fabric that I liked (at a decent price). It’s been years now since I’ve sewn more than a button or hem.
Keep it up — it’s a good creative outlet. Hugs!
Thank for the support… There are some good fabrics out there….
