Many projects

I have a lot of projects….

I am still working on my jelly roll quilt…

My oldest Daughter’s quilt…

Plus,my Son’s jacket….

I am not allowed to buy any more fabric..

According to my mother in law…until my projects are done…

WTH!!!

I like to make many different things..

Plus,I have two crochet projects that I am working on…

Any advice?

  1. I get like this sometimes, and when I do I make a list and focus on getting one crossed off before I allow myself to work on another. Good Luck 🙂

  2. Tell your MIL to go to hell? If it is your money, and your bills are paid, who cares if you have multiple projects?!

If you want to finish some, I usually choose a focus piece and try and work on it regularly, so if I get 4 hpurs a week crafting time I work on my focus piece for at least 2 hours (if that makes sense) then the rest of the time on whatever calls to me.

    • Thank you for your advice…I agree with you…The last time I checked I was 41…We pay our rent on time..I started working on jelly roll quilt again…I think she is jealous

      • Got to love jealous family. Thankfully, my mum is just as bad as I am and my MIL wouldn’t know how many projects I have. Benefits of living 5 hours away. No one knows my crafting habits 😂

But I have a 6 month old at the moment so crafting time is scarce.

      • Unfortunately, I live with mine…I loved it when we didn’t live close by..I had a life..I didn’t start sewing again until my youngest was in school all day…

  3. I feel the same way! I am always trying to do “First-In First-Out,” so I can clear out space for new fabrics. But I have a small closet for all my sewing tools. If you have the room, keep getting fabrics! Plus you have made projects for her, if I remember the bleacher cushions, right?

    • The bleacher seats were for my Mom,not Mother in law.. My Mom loves when I sew, even though she doesn’t… My MIL doesn’t like when I sew because I make a mess…But I am sewing in my bedroom…

  4. I have a lot of projects on the go as well, all the time so I’m not sure how much help I’ll be! I usually work on whatever is calling to me at the time, and a little bit of progress is better than no progress or crafting time, is how I look at it!

  5. Just do what you want to do! Don’t let anyone disrupt your creativity! I have like a gazillion projects on the go too…eventually they all get done. When I get too many on the go, I write up a list and prioritize which has to get done first. Then cross the project off the list and move to the next one.
